Stockwell’s 1840 Colonial sits in the middle of Hurley. Despite its historic facade, it’s the ideal setting for contemporary gatherings. Her dinner party manifesto is simple: “Welcoming friends into your home and gathering around the table is really what’s special,” she explains. “Sharing food feeds more than just bellies. It’s what helps us stay connected, form new relationships and lasting bonds with our chosen families.”
Chronogram: The Octagon House
The artist Jesse Bransford on the porch of his octagonal home in Catskill, which he bought in 2013. The home sits in a grove of black walnut trees, adjacent to a tulip poplar that is as old as the house. “The property is completely sequestered in the midst of the village. Many people I meet don’t even know it’s here,” he says.

Colborn Bell’s home, the former Sacred Heart of Jesus church, sits on a hillside in the hamlet of Wilbur in Kingston. Built in 1884 to serve the local population of bluestone masons, carpenters, and shipyard workers, the church overlooks Feeney’s shipyard.
